OUR STORY

Three Brothers Bagels is a family owned business in Glenshaw, PA. We offer hand rolled, naturally leavened bagels, using locally milled flour from Butler County. Our shop is led by Colin, co-owner and head baker. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, he has over two decades of experience in New York City and Pittsburgh restaurants.

Over 12 years ago, Colin began experimenting with sourdough starters while living in Brooklyn.  This led to numerous delicious loaves of bread and even a stint at a local artisan bakery.  During this time, he learned about the importance of slow fermentation and working with fresh milled flour. A dozen or so years later, he continues to bake at home for his wife and three boys.   

In March 2020,  Colin started to develop a bagel recipe using his sourdough starter and sourcing local Butler County PA grain. Once he and many taste testers agreed the look, taste and quality were good enough to sell to customers, Three Brothers Bagels launched their online ordering site where customers pre-ordered bagels for Sundays. At first, they offered contactless delivery in Gibsonia and Wexford and later shifted over to a pickup model in order to fulfill more orders.The storefront began construction in early April 2023 and opened for business August 2023.

One of the things Sofia and I miss about our time in New York is walking down Coney Island Avenue to pick up our favorite bagels. We hope to bring that experience to our community.
